FESPA 2015, being held May 18-22 in Cologne, Germany, is billed as the largest international wide format event. Encompassing screen, digital and textile print, the exhibition will see 700 exhibiting brands, including some of the biggest names in ink. What follows is a preview of the products that visitors can expect to see at this year’s show, as provided by leading suppliers: Bordeaux Digital PrintInk Bordeaux Digital PrintInk, an industry leader in developing and manufacturing high quality inks and coatings for the wide format printing industry, will introduce new Mix & Match ink solutions as part of its printer-specific solutions philosophy. Bordeaux’s dedicated printer specific inks complement the printer’s technical specifications for best printing results. Bordeaux’s breakthrough printer specific solutions enables simple and seamless installation without printer downtime and includes compatible chip and packaging or bulk system bags. Bordeaux will also introduce its new UV curable ink, the industry’s first printer specific solution for Fujifilm Acuity and Océ Arizona series printers, offering OEM matched adhesion and long lasting durability for signs and displays (Hall 6, Stand S70). EFI EFI’s Fespa 2015 exhibit (stand P10, Hall 6) will include the 5-meter EFI VUTEk GS5500LXr Pro with UltraDrop Technology, a high-performance roll-fed printer that delivers precise imaging as well as energy-efficient LED curing. The 3-meter EFI VUTEk GS3250LX Pro with UltraDrop technology will also be on display, showing high-quality, high-productivity LED imaging on rigid and roll substrates with white ink and high-end, single-pass multilayer printing. The UltraDrop technology featured on both these printers offer smaller drop sizes and more precise control with native 7pL print heads with true multi-drop addressability in each dot position. The result is outstanding smoothness in shadows, gradients and transitions, superb text quality with four-point text in both standard and knockout with fewer satellites and more clarity in all print modes. EFI’s exhibit also includes the award-winning 3.2-meter, hybrid flatbed/roll EFI VUTEk HS100 Pro press, a high-volume printer that uses a combination LED/UV pin and cure imaging process to provide exceptional quality and high productivity. The press also features automated material loading and unloading systems, along with a material edge guide system for printing corrugated board and other challenging substrates at press-rated speeds. And, the EFI H1625 LED printer on display features 8-level, variable-drop grayscale print quality, giving printing companies with mid-level production needs many of the advantages of higher production LED systems at a significantly lower cost. EFI Pace MIS software presented at Fespa is a browser-based, scalable and customisable print management system that streamlines operations and reduces costs by providing real-time data for estimating, production, accounting, sales management and e-commerce. And, the newest version of EFI Digital StoreFront web-to-print software showcased in EFI’s exhibit provides an industry-leading print buyer experience that extends variable-data and personalised print capabilities. INX International Ink Co. INX Digital International is poised to demonstrate and display outstanding products tailor made for the FESPA Germany audience looking to integrate digital into their current manufacturing workflows. INX Digital (Stand Q51 – Hall 6) will offer a digital trifecta of brands representing EVOLVE Advanced Digital Solutions, Prodigy and TRIANGLE inks at the show, running from May 18-22 at the exhibition center in Cologne. The NW210 inkjet UV digital narrow web press will be demonstrated and is the newest machine to join the EVOLVE product roster. Prodigy printed samples for a wide variety of unique, customized industrial inkjet applications will be on display. TRIANGLE dealers from around the world will be available in the booth to explain the benefits of RXV eco-solvent wide format inks that will run on a Roland XF-640 large format printer, and MSS inks running on a Mimaki JV300 inkjet printer. The revolutionary JetINX Printhead Drive and Ink Recirculation System is the engine that drives the integration services of Prodigy and EVOLVE. This technology is responsible for the NW210’s incredible speed that produces UV-LED cure single pass output at up to 80 feet per minute, says Jim Lambert, VP – Digital Division, for INX International Ink Co. The NW210 press will be demonstrated using narrow web UV inks on various label stocks. It offers best-in-class image quality performance and is available with a Spartanics X210 laser die-cutting station to provide brilliant color and easy separation of printed labels at a maximum width of 210mm. It also incorporates the latest in Xaar patented technology, including 15 Xaar 1002 printheads capable of printing seven drop sizes, and has five color ink channels – CMYK plus white. Nazdar Ink Technologies Nazdar Ink Technologies – the manufacturer of one of the most comprehensive ranges of UV, water-based and solvent-based wide-format digital inkjet, screen-printing and flexographic inks – will show digital, screen and narrow web inks at Hall 6, stand Q80.
